July 2023 - Drought Declared in the Methow: Read Marcy Stamper's recent Methow Valley News Article. Low streamflows, precipitation, and early runoff combined prompted Ecology to declare drought. November ​2021 - Judge Rawson recently released a clarification on his August ruling: Property owners may be vested, if their applications were made before the building moratorium (Ord 2021-3) was put in place February 10, 2021, for lots created after the 2002 Campbell and Gwinn ruling. Exempt water wells on subdivided property was confirmed in this clarification.

December 28, 2018 - With recent updates to the restricted areas of Closed Basins in the Methow River watershed, we are arranging for a public forum with Ecology and Okanogan County in the near future to give the public an opportunity to pose questions and clarify what this new policy means to affected landowners.
